Mystic Beach lays along the rugged coastline of the Juan De Fuca Strait, south of Port Renfrew and north of Victoria.

The area has a small waterfall that cascades to the sandy beach and surf below. My wife and I hiked the area to explore and take photographs of the waterfall but what stood out to me was the composition of this green wave about to break on shore. It’s backed by blue American mountains across the strait and framed nicely by a few very dark rocks in the foreground that enhance the brightness and vivid colours of the wave.
