This winter I was approached by a local church to donate a painting to an art fundraiser to help raise money for human trafficked survivors as they begin the long journey towards recovery and peace. I agreed and was excited to help any way I could and chose this scene to use as my entry. This scene is from Crystal Cove looking into Mackenzie beach. What I like about this scene is the soft, subtle colours as the sun fades, the calming peace I feel with the smooth reflections on the wet sand, and the gulls that are just hanging out nearby while large winter waves break distantly at Mackenzie beach.
